We didn’t get to spend much time in Brussels, Belgium, but as soon as we arrived we realized this city was something special.  How could it not be when it’s the capital of Belgian beer culture, the perfect location for those with a sweet tooth (Belgian waffles and chocolate, anyone?), and the perfect mix of beautiful architecture, outdoor activities, and comic fun?!  We’ll definitely be back in this special city and when we do, it’s safe to say we’ll be returning to Vintage Hotel.

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at Vintage Hotel and could not have had a better experience.  Combining comfort and quirky style, Vintage Hotel is the perfect spot for a unique experience and cozy quarters in the heart of Brussels, Belgium.

The location is very convenient with less than a 5-minute walk from the Louise Metro Station (which provides a direct connection to Brussels-South Train Station, perfect if you’re looking for international connections).  And if you’re interested in shopping, the famous Avenue Louise is just around the block!

In addition to the great location, the staff is friendly, the ambience is fun, and the services they provide are exactly what you need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay.

As soon as you stroll up to the front of Hotel Vintage, you’ll notice the Vintage Airstream situated out front.  This airstream was built in 1958, the year of the Universal Expo in Brussels.  It’s been fully renovated with high-quality materials, a comfy bed, bathroom, and TV.  You can rent this Vintage Airstream for a truly unique, glamping experience.

The “modern meets vintage” style carries into the rest of the hotel as well, starting with the charming lobby.  The lobby features a Wine & Beer bar, which we thought was extra cool for a couple reasons.  First, the wine bar includes a selection of wines by Tim, the Vintage Hotel manager and Brussels Sommelier of the year (2009), who will happily describe each of the wines for you.  And second, they’ve also recently added a selection of popular Belgian beers, such as Dupont, Brasserie de Bostogne, Cantillon.  There’s something for everyone there and you can be sure the selection is nothing but the best!

The lobby area also hosts breakfast each morning that you can purchase.  We had breakfast one morning for $11 per person, and it was definitely worth it with the selection of fresh bread, baked goods, eggs, cheese, meat, and coffee.

We experienced two different room types during our stay at Vintage Hotel.  The first was an “Easy” room, which is the smallest room they offer but still has plenty of space for two.  The second was a “Happy” room, which was much larger.  No matter what room type you choose, though, you can be sure that all of them will be comfortable, with private bathrooms, television, air conditioning, heat, and Wi-Fi.
